Potential Rail Freight Sites

BRB (Residuary) Ltd is offering for sale or lease certain sites which it has been suggested might be useful for rail freight purposes.

In deciding whether to accept offers to lease or purchase sites their prospective use for rail freight traffic or other rail or integrated transport purposes will be appraised. Conditions may be imposed to safeguard the long term use of the site for rail purposes.

In offering the sites for disposal BRB (Residuary) Ltd. is not guaranteeing the condition of any rail infrastructure connecting to or on the site. Interested parties should take appropriate advice to determine the suitability of the site to serve anticipated traffic flows. They are also recommended to make enquiries with planning officers as to the probability of obtaining planning permission for rail freight use.

BRB (Residuary) Ltd. is not bound to accept any offers. Sites which are offered for sale will be sold subject to demarcation provisions made in accordance with the BRB Transfer Scheme 1994. Details will be provided.
